Almost a Family of Five {Baby Bump Portraits}

Meet Sherrie and her family. I was super excited when Sherrie contacted me to tell me she was pregnant and wanted to do bump and newborn portraits. I did not know Sherrie but recognized her name as a long time fan and supporter of LDP. I’m not sure who was more excited, me or her to finally have a chance to meet. We clicked right away and I totally fell in love with her goofy and all smiles family. Not only are they a happy and loving family, they were super understanding and supportive of what I was going through at the time her session took place (I found myself in the hospital with pregnancy issues right after taking these images.) It takes an amazing person to be completely selfless and tell me to forget all about her pictures and to take care of myself. She pretty much rocks and I can never thank her enough for doing her best to take pressure off of me during a difficult time. So thank you Sherrie and family for being so amazing. I look forward to working with you again soon and watching your beautiful children grow.

Babies First Painting {Children Portrait Photographer / Poquoson VA }

Meet birthday girl Miss C. I couldn’t believe it had been an entire year since I captured her newborn portraits when her Momma contacted me for a birthday milestone session. Mom wanted to capture the moment but wasn’t sure she wanted to do it with a traditional Cake Smash Celebration. So I got to do what I loooooove to do and started brainstorming ideas. Mom is an art teacher so I started putting that together with ‘baby first’ ideas and came up with ‘Baby’s First Painting’. I am totally in love with the result and I will be using it for my own little guy when he reaches his 1 year milestone (as I was an art major and art teacher in my past life;)) I love that Mom now has these images along with the actual First Painting hanging on the wall to display in her home!

Baby Savannah | {Newborn Photographer}

I really really fell in love with this session! Just too much sweetness all around. You might remember this big brother from his Momma’s maternity session a few blog posts back. He definitely makes me work for my money haha… but it is always worth it because he gives me the sweetest little faces. He did NOT want to have his picture taken with his baby sister (which is completely 100% the norm for his age). Took a little talking to, snacks, funny noises, and bribery (yes I am not ashamed to stoop to that level haha)! But come on…. totally worth it right???? I hope Momma has these images BIG BIG BIG displayed in her home. As for sweet baby girl… she was perfection and had the best giant baby belly I’ve seen in a long time! Already have her booked for a 6 month milestone session and I can’t wait to see how she has grown!

Birthday Girl {Cake Smash Birthday Milestone}

Her sweet cheeks just make me smile all over again thinking back to this session. You know you want to love all over her sweet cheeks and little rolls!!!;)Although you know I love me some newborns, birthday babies are really fun for me. Not only is it a great workout because they definitely get you sweating as you try to capture them during the .5 seconds you have before they are on the move…. you just get the best facial expressions out of them! And when they LOOOOOOOOVE their cake… well it just makes me so happy. I think she would have continued until it was all gone if we had let her.;)Happy Birthday Miss C!
